Northend United - Mini Blitz Saturday 22nd February 2014

Saturday saw Northend United and Northend Youth U8s travel to Ballysally to take part in a Mini Blitz tournament against a number of other teams, including a mouth watering match that also paired them against each other.

The "derby" was all action and a credit to both teams that ended in a fair draw 1-1. Special mention goes to two new signings for Northend Youth Euan Pirie and Daire Higgins who were both outstanding in their debuts for the Club.

Northend United 1 Dungiven Celtic 0 Saturday 8th February 2014

After a long winter break due to the weather the U8's finally got back to action today against Dungiven Celtic. In terrible conditions Northend took the lead with a own goal after pressure on the defender by Daniel Patterson and Conan McKeown. Half time score 1-0

In the second half Northend had chances to increase the score when Conan McKeown shot just wide and Callum Burnside hit the post with a shot. In the final 10 minutes young Paddy Murphy came out of nets to play in defence and along with Alex McPeake, was outstanding. Final score 1-0

This week saw both Northend U8s involved in small tournaments at the Ballymena Showgrounds.
